The Brooklyn Barclays Center is an indoor arena that serves for as a multi-purpose center. It is placed in Atlantic Avenue and it is part of the Pacific Park residential complex. It is near a Barclays Center subway station and it is very easy and direct to get there. Today, it is the home of the Baseball team the Brooklyn Nets and it host a wide variety of events. New York Islanders Hockey Team use the facility as their home.
It opened in 2004 with the purchase of the Nets by Brice Ratner but there were plenty of delays in the construction, which finished in 2010.Recently, Brice Ratner has sold Barclays Center which is currently owned by Mikhail Prokhorov holdings, sport and music events are commonly held.
Barclay Center Events 2012 include Jay Z, Harlem Glovetrottersm, Smashing Pumpkins, The Who, among others. 2013 includes events of Green Day, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Atoms for Peace among others. 2014 performances included Black Sabbath, Cher, The Back Keys, Justin Timberlake, among others. In 2015 there were shows of Ed Sheeran, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Nicki Mina, and other and Barclay center events 2016 include presentations of Muse, Duran Duran, Selena Gomez, Sia among other artists were held, 2017 promises Roger Waters and Paul McCartney.
